WASHINGTON, D.C. – NERC and FERC published a joint white paper, SolarWinds and Related Supply Chain Compromise, emphasizing the need for continued vigilance around supply chain compromises and incidents by the North American electricity industry. The paper, which highlights the lessons learned from recent supply chain compromises, recommends a series of specific cyber security mitigation actions to better ensure the security of the bulk power system. NERC and FERC encourage stakeholders to read the paper and consider applying the recommended strategies most appropriate to their circumstances.
