Berardesco to Testify at Senate Hearing on Grid Reliability during Extreme Cold Weather Events
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Charles A. Berardesco, interim president and chief executive officer of NERC, will testify before the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources on Tuesday, Jan. 23. The purpose of this hearing is to examine the performance of the electric power system in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic during recent winter weather events, including the bomb cyclone.
 
The hearing, chaired by Sen. Lisa Murkowski, begins at 10 a.m. Eastern in Room 366 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building and will be webcast live. Witness testimony will be available on the Committee website at the start of the hearing.
