CIP V5 Implementation Information
CIP V5 Implementation Information
Rich HTML Content 1
Background
NERC is committed to protecting the bulk power system against cybersecurity compromises that could lead to misoperation or instability. On November 22, 2013, FERC approved Version 5 of the critical infrastructure protection cybersecurity standards (CIP Version 5), which represent significant progress in mitigating cyber risks to the bulk power system.
CIP Guidance and Outreach
The collaborative group of Regional Entities, implementation study participants, and other stakeholders
is developing Lessons Learned and FAQ documents
to provide guidance on specific topics. These documents will be posted for stakeholder comment on the
Lessons Learned and FAQs page
before they are finalized. Final guidance documents and other related information will also be posted on that page.
